Environmental Scans

Environmental Scans are short reports on current or emerging issues in health care technology. Each report provides information to support health care decision making and policy development in Canada. The information contained in each environmental scan is based on a limited literature review and should not be construed as a recommendation for or against the use of a particular health technology.

Production of these reports is made possible by a financial contribution from Health Canada, and the governments of Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Northwest Territories, Nova Scotia, Nunavut, Prince Edward Island, Saskatchewan, and Yukon.  CADTH takes sole responsibility for the final form and content of these reports. The statements, conclusions, and views expressed in the environmental scan do not necessarily represent the view of Health Canada or any provincial or territorial government.
